Outdoor Adventures

Discover splendid nature by trail, by waterway, by treetop walk. Take in wild rides on a zipline, suspension bridge, mountain coaster or jet ski. Try a Segway, a Hummer, a helicopter tour, a stand-up paddle board. Don't leave without seeing the Escarpment and the Nottawasaga Lighthouse from a kayak or cruise boat on Georgian Bay. 

Scenic Caves Eco Adventures

An exciting 3-hr guided adventure. Walk the treetop canopy on a web of platforms and airborne walkways. Zip down a 300' foot cable through the forest. Fly the 1000' zip line with a 150' vertical drop. Explore the geology and history of ancient caves and crevasses. Cross Southern Ontario's Longest Suspension Bridge.   

Wasaga Beach

Enjoy the spectacular 14 kilometers of white sand beach with play areas, bicycle paths, boardwalks and accessible walkways. Find a boat launch at Beach Area 1 and temporary dog beach at Beach Area 3.  Also visit the Nancy Island Historic Site.

Blue Mountain Private Beach  

Lodging guests/owners only.  A 10-minute drive from the resort, it’s the perfect retreat for all overnight guests. Spend the morning paddling the serene shoreline, grab lunch fresh off the grill and then take the afternoon to relax in the sand or get your heart pumping with a game of beach volleyball.

Apple Pie Trail 

Orchards in South Georgian Bay produce about 25% of Ontario’s apple crop annually.  Along quiet country roads, enjoy the sweet aroma of blossoms in the spring, ripening fruit in the summer, brilliant colours in the fall and delicious apple pie all year round. applepietrail.ca

Farmers' Pantry

U-pick in-season raspberries, pears and pumpkins plus acre upon acre of u-pick apples. Kids run freely through the farmer's fun fields, challenging themselves in rope and cedar mazes, sand mountain or meeting the barnyard crew while you shop in the farm market. 

Saints and Sinners Trail

Once a hotbed for bootleggers during Prohibition, South Georgian Bay is experiencing a beverage renaissance.  Craft breweries, wineries and cideries, all using locally-grown grapes, hops and apples, are open for tasting tours.

Hiking Trails

Travelers and locals alike thrill to our awe-inspiring nature. Soak up the magnificent scenery. Scout out caves, lookouts, meandering creeks, waterfalls, sand dunes, old mills and incredible flora and fauna. THE BRUCE TRAIL: CANADA ’S OLDEST MARKED FOOTPATH runs along the Niagara Escarpment from Niagara to Tobermory, the Bruce Trail spans more than 890 km, plus over 400 km of associated side trails.  There are many main trail access points and side trails in the Blue Mountain area, all featuring scenic spots for communing with nature.  Maps can be found at Tourism offices in Collingwood and the Visitor Information Centre in the Village.


There are more than 650 km of diverse routes for cyclists of all abilities and interests. Road riders, joy riders, and tour riders can find routes that lead through the heart of charming villages, cross the Nottawasaga and Beaver Rivers, wind along waterfront and beaches, and pass through lush, forested areas.  More than 120 km of the routes are gravel pathways and rail trails, making South Georgian Bay home to one of the most extensive multi-use trail networks. The area also gives rise to the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment, while offering gentle hills and stretches of scenic farmland.
